Keeping technical cycling clothing performing at its best shouldn’t come at the expense of the garment itself. That’s the thinking behind Gtechniq Fabric Proof: a next-generation, PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR) treatment developed to provide long-lasting protection without the compromises associated with traditional fabric proofing products.
No Heat Activation Required
Many conventional waterproofing treatments rely on heat activation, often requiring garments to be tumble dried after application to achieve the desired performance. While effective, repeated exposure to high temperatures can reduce the lifespan of delicate technical fabrics and cycling apparel.
Fabric Proof takes a different approach
Designed to work without heat activation, the formula simply needs to be sprayed onto a clean, dry garment and left to air dry for three hours before it’s ready to perform. The result is class-leading water repellency while maintaining the breathability that technical fabrics are designed to deliver.
Built for Real-World Riding
Whether it’s a daily commute, a weekend gravel ride or a long day in the mountains, cycling clothing is exposed to constant wear in key contact areas.
Fabric Proof has been formulated with high abrasion resistance, helping maintain water repellency in areas that experience the greatest friction, including shoulders where backpacks sit and underarm panels.
Combined with durability of up to 10 wash cycles, three to four times longer than many traditional fabric proofers, it means riders can spend less time reproofing garments and more time riding.
